Future

  • Create / print clinical reports: Implementation of DICOM Structured Reporting (document architecture for encoding and exchanging information by using the DICOM structure and services), which is widely used to exchange information among different clinical specialties
  • Undo/Redo: for all operations, specially for Mesh Editor
  • PLG: Add plug-in compatibility with other frameworks like Slicer3, MedInria, cmGUI, GE, Siemens, ...
  • RENLIB: use VTK, cmGUI or any other rendering window in Gimias
  • SCRP: Functionality for scripting, macros and video generation. Be able to save steps and reproduce it to reach a certain point in a workflow. Be able to use VTK and ITK filters
  • GUITHREAD: Add progress bar for all processors
  • CTK integration: integrate CTK as thirdparty and use plugin architecture
  • CLIP: Image clipping functionality
  • MESHED: I need a mesh editing tools to manipulate meshes from segmentation output
  • VFLW: Visual work flowing definition framework.
  • GRID: Virtualization of computational resources through the grid
  • MSVIZ: Advanced multi scale visualization functionality
  • MLL: Interoperability with CellML, FieldML and BiosigML
  • OPC: Integration and interoperability with OpenClinica for data capture and management
  • IGSTK: Integration of Image Guided Surgery Toolkit (igstk.org) – robustness and realtime
  • SOFA: Integration of real-time simulation framework environments (sofa-framework.org) - realism

Gimias 1.3.0 (January 2011)

  • DATA IO: Load and Save Metadata tags.
  • Multiple rendering libraries: use VTK, cmGUI or any other rendering window in Gimias
  • REMOTE EXECUTION: Remote execution of applications using SSH
  • CTK integration: integrate CTK/QT as a thirdparty
  • Batch Processing / Visual Workflow Design: Add widgets to perform basic batch processing and desing Visual Workflow Module

Gimias-1.3

Gimias 1.2.0 (October 2010)

  • FIELDS: Visualize deformation fields
  • GUI usability: Selection & Help
  • EDOM: Revision of the Data Object Model.
  • PLUGIN: Add plug-in compatibility with Slicer
  • WorkingArea: Use an XML file to describe the working area
  • AGUI: Automated GUI using XML files

Gimias-1.2.0

Gimias 1.1.0 (July 2010)

  • MultiViews: Add a view with multiple configurable cutting planes and extend working area to support multiple views with different rendering trees
  • BSV: Integrate a solution for multidimensional signal viewing and exploration
  • Stability: Provide an stable version of Gimias to all developers
  • OpenSource & SVN: Avoid problems with open source version. Create a unique repository of Gimias OS with Plugins, Modules and thirdparty. Make SVN repository public
  • DOM: Revision of the Data Object Model. New Data Object Model: Be able to add a new image type only redefining the Gimias API
  • ARCH: Architectural revision.
  • GUI usability: simplify the access to Appearance suitcase, add more toolbars and context menus. Use mouse interactor to change contrast and brightness. Highlight the current selected object. Add help info for all interactions and tools
  • Simplicity: Provide a well defined GIMIAS API with a header file and hide the rest of files. Be able to show/hide Gimias libraries in the solution
  • L&F: Revised look & feel, updated webpage and dissemination material (newletter).
